Taurakalnis is one of Lithuania’s largest event catering companies and has been operating since 1991. It was founded by Irena Čereškienė, author of the legendary pastry book Miltiniai konditerijos gaminiai (Flour-Based Confectionery Products). Today, her daughter, Monika Čereškaitė, continues the family business.
Taurakalnis now employs a team of nearly 150 people and caters for thousands of events in a wide variety of formats each year. Taurakalnis organises private and public Historical Royal Dinners at Valdovai restaurant in the Palace of the Grand Dukes (Cathedral Square 4, Vilnius), featuring dishes inspired by the cuisine of Lithuanian nobility from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
From spectacular four-meat pies to stuffed pike, this unforgettable educational and gastronomic experience is ideal for private celebrations, as well as for local and international visitors.
Our selection includes more than 700 dishes. We can prepare food inspired by cuisines from around the world and adapt it to meet each client’s specific needs.
We keep pace with the latest culinary trends. Over the years, we have catered fully vegan weddings, created gluten-free vegetarian menus and prepared dishes with little or keto-meals. We have even cooked with insect protein!

You can host your next event in the spaces of Valdovai restaurant at the Palace of the Grand Dukes, which we operate, with no additional venue hire fee. During the summer, you can celebrate life’s most special occasions in the romantic Bona Sforza Garden, overlooking Gediminas Castle Tower. In winter – historic cellars fit around 300 people.
We also provide catering wherever it is most convenient for you. We have worked at all of Vilnius’s leading event venues, open-air summer festivals and even in our clients’ homes.
